Cedar Bay Apps 4 Client Data/Privacy Policy What Is This Document About? Cedar Bay provides an app for iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices called Cedar Bay Apps 4 Client (CBApps 4 Client hereafter). CBApps 4 Client allows users to update their employers IFS system to perform tasks using a variety of routines that we call transactions for example, moving inventory, receiving purchase orders, executing transport tasks etc (70+ transactions are available).

To do this, the app connects to Cedar Bay server software which in turn accesses IFS on the users behalf using their IFS credentials

As part of recent European law changes, apps are now required to explain how personal information collected of the user of the app is collected and handled. This document explains this for the CBApps4 Client app.
Collection And Use Of Personal Information Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify a specific person. By using the CBApps4 Client app, you (the End-user), consent to the privacy practices described in this Data Policy document. What Personal Information Is Collected? When you use the CBApps 4 Client App we (Cedar Bay) the app and the Cedar Bay server software will collect a variety of information required to operate the app. This includes your user name, password, your device's operating system version and device description along with any data entered or scanned during the transaction in order to carry out the operation of that transaction. How Is Your Personal Information Used? The login information (user name, password) is used to authenticate you with the Cedar Bay Server software and your employers IFS system. The operating system and other device information may be recorded for diagnostic and statistical usage (e.g. to graph popularity of Android versions to determine where effort should be spent on improvements).

The remaining information entered during the usage of the app is submitted into your employers IFS system. This is subject to IFS data policies and your employment contract.

Depending on configuration of the server, audit logs may be collected of login/out, transaction activity, labels produced etc. This information is stored on the Cedar Bay server hosted at the customer (i.e. the end users' employer) premises.
Disclosure To Third Parties The personal information is only available to the Cedar Bay customer that this app connects to (i.e. your employer), the said Cedar Bay customer's administrators of the Cedar Bay server software. Cedar Bay themselves collect no information beyond the statistics and crash logs that Google collects in order to improve the quality of the CBApps 4 client app. The personal information will not be shared with any other third parties, except as provided below.

It may be necessary, by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence, for IFS to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.
Protection And Storage Of Personal Information Cedar Bay and the CBApps 4 Client app take precautions, including technical measures, to safeguard your personal information against misuse and unauthorized access, by for example using encryption when transmitting any personal information. The personal data is stored locally on the relevant device and, as applicable, on the Cedar Bay server hosted at the customers premises (or as required, in a suitable cloud hosting platform). Access To Personal Information The personal data may be accessed via the relevant Cedar Bay customer's administrators by logging on to the Cedar Bay Apps Configuration Dashboard. GDPR rules dictate that you may request to have this data sent or described to you and that it is corrected if it is inaccurate. As Cedar Bay does not host or administer the solution (the Cedar Bay customer - i.e. your Employer - does), please contact them for more help on this subject. They may decline to process requests that require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or for which access is not otherwise required by applicable local law.
